The Facilities and Grounds

The picnic grove stage can be used for bands, entertainment and dancing.

The tall trees and the fest tent make the Picnic Grove a cool spot to hold a party, picnic or festival.

The main soccer field has hosted several national amateur championships and can hold several thousand.

The Main Hall can seat up to approximately 300 for banquets, weddings and other events.

The Main Hall has a large oval dance floor and is perfect for weddings.

The entrance to the Club is attractive and decorated with flowers for most of the year.

The outside bar area is usually packed during picnics, parties and festivals.

Oktoberfest 2003

The tent was filled from early afternoon into the late evening  Saturday and until closing on Sunday!

When not enjoying the games, food and entertainment, the children took time out to dance for the crowd.

Visiting guests from  Die Oberschlesische Volkstrachtengruppe zu Berlin made the long trip from Germany and performed several traditional dances to the delight of the audience.

The young ladies from Die Funken der Bürgeler Faschingsclub also traveled from Germany.  They were a big hit, especially with the Cadets from West Point, who were able to practice their colloquial German language skills!

The men from the German Hungarian Schuhplattlers performed the traditional Schuhplattler, including several crowd favorites!     The Valley Forge Military Academy band was impressive.  The young men and women were polite, and made a very favorable impression!

New Year's Eve

The crowd was rowdy, loud and energetic.  The dance floor was full until the band stopped, shortly after 2PM.   The Heimatklänge Orchestra played from 8 until after 2PM.  The mix of waltzes, rock and roll, and big band favorites kept people dancing all night long!
The bar was busy for most of the night, and was a favorite place to laugh, take a break from dancing, and enjoy a cold beverage.    Around about midnight, the dance floor was packed as everyone said good-bye to 2002 and hello to 2003!
Around about midnight everyone found a good friend or something to hang on to while they counted down the seconds to the new year!    Around about midnight, the dance floor was packed as everyone said good-bye to 2002 and hello to 2003!
What a great way to bring in the new year - surrounded by a few hundred of your closest friends!

Members of the United German Hungarian Paradwe delegation march behind the Club Flag at the start of the parade.   Members of the Children's Cultural Group who represented the Club.
Members of the Women's Auxiliary who represented the Club at the Parade.    Club delegates who represented to various organizations at the Parade.
The rain kept attendance down but did not stop the Club members from demonstrating their pride while walking around the Swan Fountain.    The children smiled and laughed throughout the parade despite the rain.
